With release of their new album, local group Super Geek League hit the stage of the Crocodile Cafe with the energy of a circus gone ska, rap rock, and the closest to Oingo Boingo set up I can find. The Dia de los Muerto's themed horn section, the futuristic dressed lead vocalist with a metallic body and blue hair, and all the antics you can shake a stick at. As the band plays, there are skits with burlesque dancers, pillow fights, coke head business men throwing powered sugar, dildos, giant robots, and Sammy the Dwark dressed as a leprechaun chasing people in the crowd. Oh, of course there was confetti blown out Flaming Lips style during each song. I don't think the photos I have even explain the sensory overload that is Super Geek League. Yes, they're local, and yes they're more fun at a show than anything else I've seen this year.
